Dolly, a 3 year old rescue cat from Cat Adoption Centre (Cats Protection League) Ryde, Isle of Wight has been found 5 weeks after disappearing from her adoptive home in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Dolly trekked over a mile to Cowes Yacht Haven where she boarded a luxury motor cruiser, stowed away and ended up in Poole in Dorset.  Five weeks later because she had been micro-chipped she is due to be reunited with the family who adopted her several years ago.

Debs Murphy-Latham (44) and Natasha (10) and Annabelle (7), live in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and adopted Dolly in 2014.

Debs, Managing Director of vipcottages.com, is more used to sending people on holiday to luxury cottages on the Isle of Wight, and Dolly her cat had clearly had a taste for the finer things in life, hitching a ride on a luxury motor cruiser from Cowes!

Dolly’s owners were notified five weeks after her disappearance because Dolly had been micro-chipped, and she was re-united with her family this morning in Southampton thanks to Red Funnel who organised for the family to collect Dolly on their Red Jet service.
