"Well this place is stunning. The flat is so much bigger than we were expecting and the views were outstanding. We cooked in the gorgeous kitchen the first night as we did not want to leave this beautiful apartment. We walked down the coastal path until we got to a place called Brook and headed to Hulverstone for The Sun Inn pub where we had delicious food. We took the local bus back, a wonderful day of exploring. We went to Salty's in Yarmouth, the food was outstanding. The music and ambience was great. We will definitely be back as we are so relaxed and at home here. Love the Isle of Wight!"

"Amazing stay at Freshwater Bay. Lovely apartment and brilliant location. My sister and I spent the weekend exploring the island and for a relaxing weekend this was perfect. Beautiful apartment with everything you need. We took a walk along the coastal path and up to Tennyson view as well as local running trails. Would recommend The Piano Cafe for coffee and food, a definite favourite during our stay. We didn't try any other places to eat around the bay but we would recommend Tapnell Farm, the Cow Co was amazing! Hope to come back soon for a longer stay!"

"This is our third time visiting the Isle of Wight, and also this apartment block. But oh my, this was bar far the best apartment we have stayed in. Weather was good for the time of year, because of where we were it was quite windy, but we didn't miss out thanks to the conservatory area where we ate and admired the sea views. Can't recommend places to eat as we cooked in the beautiful kitchen every night. We did lots of walking, you can walk to the Needles and back and also do a round trip to Yarmouth but take a picnic! Coffee is good at the Gossip Cafe, and it is open later than the usual 4pm! The cake is good too. We have no young children but visited the Isle of Wight Zoo, bit small but worth a visit as the staff work really hard. I loved the one eyed tiger! Also went to the donkey sanctuary which was good. So thank you Mel for a lovely, clean and stunning apartment. Hope to come back here some time. "

"One always gets nervous looking online at a place we've never been before - how lucky we were to find this beautiful apartment. The lay-out is so logical and comfortable, taking advantage of the light and view. We are from a desert (Western Colorado) in the US. So being by the ocean on this beautiful island was quite the treat and a good, tranquil way to prepare for the coming winter. Our daughter and her husband who live in London, were also delighted by the tranquillity, plus a full moon in star studded skies! Thanks for maintaining such a beautiful place!"

"The pictures did not do this apartment justice as it was amazingly spacious with everything we needed. We have been so fortunate with the weather, got the table and chairs out of the garage and made good use of them while taking in the wonderful view from the patio. We have eaten at The New Inn at Shalfleet, The Highdown Inn and the Red Lion - all of which were suberb and would recommend. Need to book though as they were all very busy. We have travelled quite a bit, Osborne House, The Cider and Winery, Oasis, Yarmouth, Newport and the coastal road to take in the views. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. Thank you Mel for making this such a wonderful place to stay."

"A fabulous week in a flat perfect for location and facilities. The Red Lion is great for food and look out for the pizza van on the promenade on a Friday evening. Compton beach is sandier and better for children with a shallow sloped beach and great surf waves. Robin Hill adventure park offers plenty of activities for all ages and Blackgang Chine is great fun. Couldn't better the week we have had and will be back soon."

"We had a lovely few days in this beautiful apartment - and what a view! Great Pizza from the van that came to the harbour on a Friday. A good crab sandwich at the Sun Inn. Mottistone Gardens are wonderful and the walk over the top to the long stone is wonderful too. High tide at Freshwater on a windy day is dramatic! Had two great photographic exhibitions and a lovely atmosphere, we'll be back. "

"We have had a lovely 2 weeks here.
The apartment is lovely and the views amazing.
We are going to miss this when we get home.
Well equipped apartment. Only suggestion is that a tumble dryer would be useful.
Went to Compton Beach, which was great.
Enjoyed Tapnell Farm, Blackgang Chine and Alum Bay.
Lovely meals at The White Mouse in Chale and Fatimas(Indian) in Freshwater.
Thank you...hope to come again"

"Bay View is certainly come up to the name.
It gave my family what they wanted.
So thank you so much to the invisible Mel and Debs at VIP Solutions.
The local tomatoes are unbeatable.
Recommend the Piano Cafe down the road and The Sun was also very good.
We found the Blacksmiths Arms in Carisbrooke with a lovely view over the countryside.
We may come back.
Loved the sea view.

"Firstly, I had better confess we are related to the owner.
Mel is my cousin and I am one of the family who has been coming here for many years, with her.
The flat has passed with flying colours.
The layout is perfect for an active toddler, especially as the weather has been variable.
Also the proximity to the beach means there is always somewhere to go for half an hour to blow away the cobwebs.
The Lifeboat shop near the gate is always worth a browse. The lifeboat goes out on practice on Sunday mornings. Worth watching them come and go.
Saltys fish restaurant in Yarmouth is highly recommended.
In Freshwater, the fishmonger, baker and the fish & chip shop are all very good.
The new Co-Op in Freshwater is very good with an excellent local food section.
We had a fantastic week

"Lovely place to stay, spacious apartment with everything you need. Fantastic location and had breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea! Gorgeous weather too. We walked to the Needles and got the open top bus back. A visit to The Botanic Gardens in Ventnor was well worth it. Coastal walks have amazing views. Definitely coming back next year for a longer stay!"

"Beautiful apartment with stunning views, topped with great weather. We will definitely be coming back to stay, our three year old does not want to leave. Well done to Mel for such a beautifully laid out apartment, which is professionally managed. We would recommend a visit to Blackgang Chine if you have little ones and the Needles. If you're looking for a walk, Tennyson point is well worth it. For eating out, we went to The Hut which is an amazing restaurant on the seafront at Colwell bay, in between Freshwater and Yarmouth. Thanks for the memories. "

"We had a wonderful stay in this apartment with two young boys who spent hours outside. The location was perfect for us and we didn't travel too far. We did the dinosaur expeditions at Brook. I walked up to Tennyson monument and we ate at the Cow Co. really recommended. On the beach by the lifeboats was a wood burning pizza van on a Saturday from 11:30 till 2:30 which looked good. Fatima's Indian was good and we shopped at the new Co-op, we will be back!"
