Bembridge is a thriving village, set within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a great selection of Independent shops, wine bars and eateries, including some of the Island’s best fresh seafood straight from the sea. The sandy beaches which wrap around the village are perfect for long lazy summer days as much as brisk winter walks. The harbour offers a great range of water sports activities too from yacht sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, to kite surfing and land sailing and Segway dune exploring for the more adventurous (please see VIP Guest Experiences)

The only surviving windmill on the Island, in the care of The National Trust is located on the outskirts of Bembridge. There are many scenic walking routes including the National Trust area of Culver Down, and the fabulous Island coastal path. Bembridge is also home to an RSPB bird reserve area

Surrounded by miles of bridleways and footpaths, the property is a short drive from the stunning south coast with its inspirational scenery and offers a varied choice for walkers, cyclists and outdoor pursuits enthusiasts along miles of Heritage coastline, with beaches and country pubs. 500 miles of cycle tracks are close by too. English Heritage’s Carisbrooke Castle and Osbourne House are a short distance away, as is Brading Roman Villa, The Steam Railway, and Dinosaur Isle and the activity parks at Blackgang Chine and Robin Hill Country Park. The Island can also be explored from the open-top buses that stop regularly at various collection points
